Research on American Suicide Rates:

Between 1999 and 2009 19.3% of those who committed suicide in the USA were aged 45-54 (McIntosh, 2012). Those highest at risk seem to be elderly white males (65+) living in Montana, Alaska or Wyoming; three of the most rural areas in the US.
